LAMY 2024 Special Edition

The LAMY AL-star comes in a variety of bright and vivid colors, and many customers eagerly wait LAMY's special edition colors each year. In 2024, the LAMY AL-star Special Edition comes in two colors, Aquatic and Fiery.

The AL-star Aquatic's frosty finish feels cool and precise, right down to the colour-matched grip that completes the experience. Balancing that is the raw energy of the AL-star Fiery, which radiates an inescapable heat from the red anodised metal finish to the translucent red grip. Together, the two colours create a striking balance of passion and precision, a yin/yang cycle of emotion and intellect where each informs the other

The stainless steel nib

The grip

Lid fitted with an automatic spring-action metal clip that’s chrome plated. 

The LAMY AL-star is the lightweight aluminum "cousin" of LAMY's bestselling Safari pens.   

Although looking almost alike in shape and design, with the exception of the smoke-colored triangular grip to ensure the best ergonomic performance, engineering an aluminum version of the ABS-plastic LAMY Safari is an entire project in itself, requiring substantial changes and revisions to manufacturing processes and design.  

The aluminum barrel makes the pen far more "engravable" and gives a more prestigious look and feel to one of the world's best selling fountain pens.

The LAMY AL-star is designed to work with LAMY T10 ink cartridges, or the Z24/Z28 ink converter that is recommended to be filled with LAMY bottled ink (T51, T52, or T53).

Most LAMY pens including the LAMY AL-star are engravable to some extent, best on the pen body.
